Tehran, December 7 (MRUD NEWS)—Merdad Bazrpash wins Parliament's vote of confidence with 187 votes in favour, 64 against, 7 abstention, and 5 invalid votes out of total 263 votes and will serve as Iran's new Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
Born in 1980, he was head of the Supreme Audit Court of Iran. Among other executive experiences, he has worked as the vice President during the Presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, member of the management board of Iran's Parliament, Deputy of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) in provincial affairs, and CEO of Saipa and Iran Khodro Co.
He has industrial engineering from Sharif University of Technology, MBA from Allameh Tabataba'i University, and PhD in Technology Management from Allameh Tabataba'i University.
Following the resignation of Rostam Ghasemi, and appointment of a stand-in minister, Shahriyar Afandizadeh, Mehrdad Bazrpash had been introduced on the part of Iran's Government to the Parliament.
